About

Shruti Mittal is a research analyst at Carnegie India. Her current research interests include artificial intelligence, semiconductors, compute, and data governance. She is also interested in studying the potential socio-economic value that open development and diffusion of technologies can create in the Global South.

Prior to joining Carnegie India, Shruti was a research associate at Evam Law & Policy, where she contributed to the analysis of India’s industrial policies for boosting its domestic semiconductor and compute capabilities. She was also the research lead and primary contributor for Digital Republic, Evam’s newsletter initiative on India’s digital economy and geopolitical developments within the global tech landscape. 

Shruti has also previously contributed to The Hindu and Indian Express. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat.
