India’s decision to revive the quadrilateral security dialogue with Japan, the United States (US) and Australia marks an important departure in its engagement with the great powers. It is a decisive step towards the consolidation of the strategic partnerships with the US and its Asian allies, and in enhancing New Delhi’s bargaining power vis-à-vis Beijing.
